Landscape Design

Ideas originate from a design process that strives to connect our clients with the outdoors.  Conversations with clients focus on their unique programming needs: how spaces, material, and site work together with lifestyle, architecture, and budgets.

Hardscapes

An eye for detail and knowledge of various materials allows us to work with our clients to find creative solutions to common masonry work, ranging from garden columns all the way to specialty interior stone work. Patios and walkways are the spaces where we spend the majority of our time outdoors. We find the right material – pavers, various mortared stone, brick, or finished concrete – to fit the site and scale of the outdoor space.

Exterior Structures

An outdoor fireplace or kitchen adds variety to an outdoor space’s function and may extend the time we comfortably enjoy the outdoors. We utilize various layouts, materials, and construction details to help clients realize the full potential of cooking outside or enjoying gathering around the fire.

Walls

Walls can be functional, decorative, or both.  They can provide depth to an exterior space as a seating wall or provide retention to critical slopes.  Regardless of the purpose, we are prepared to match the right type of wall to the site requirements and client preferences.  These can range from segmental retaining walls to veneered stone to reinforced block to poured-in-place.

Custom Pools

Swimming pools add a dynamic focal point in outdoor spaces and also serve as elements that encourage us to be outside and active.  We collaborate with some of the industry’s most creative and knowledgeable pool builders to yield a tailored approach to pool building and outdoor spaces.
