Living Stone’s beginnings started in 1999 when co-owner Chris Agee wanted to start a creative, Christian-based hardscape construction company that served the Middle Tennessee area. Since then, he’s maintained years of hard work and growing the company in a direction that best serves clients and uphold these values.
Today, Living Stone is the collaboration between Chris Agee and Drew Heering, steeped in the master-builder traditions of developing and implementing a range of exterior projects. With the combined experience of over 50 years of work, they leverage their skills to design and build exterior spaces that connect people with environment and architecture.
Living Stone pursues a rigorous process of understanding site conditions, materiality, and listening to our clients and tradesmen. Typically, this begins with client conversations about an outdoor space’s potential and a site’s opportunities and constraints. Then, design concepts translate into schematic or design drawings and budgets translate in to project pricing structures.
